It’s time to rethink the way we do business and re-strategise.

Brought to you by EBN, EU|BIC, Better Incubation, and Inkubator Sežana, the 2022 EBN TechCamp brings the business and innovation support community together each year to share ideas and experiences in ways that inspire new partnerships, programmes, and innovative solutions for better business support services. The EBN TechCamp has a highly participatory and interactive programme, this year focusing on boosting diversity, inclusivity and impact-driven entrepreneurship.

Hosted by EU|BIC Inkubator Sežana, the event will take place on-site in Lipica, Slovenia from 19-20 October 2022. This year’s TechCamp gives you the opportunity to re-strategise, upskill, and expand your organisation’s services geared to the topics of impact-driven and inclusive entrepreneurship. This is your chance to get ready for the future of business and innovation support, discuss how diversity and inclusion create competitive advantages, how to service a new generation of impactful startups, and how to adapt Europe’s innovation ecosystem.

Topics

The event offers mainstream business support organisations a 2-day programme aimed at enabling peer learning and experts’ insights, articulated over two topics.

  1. Impact-driven entrepreneurship: Support a new generation of impactful (tech)start-ups – companies that are both profitable and work to improve society, operating ‘’double bottom line’’ business models.
  2. Inclusive entrepreneurship: Leverage diversity and inclusion and become relevant, competitive and gain an advantage.

In three chapters 2022 TechCamp will offer participants hands-on insights and practical methodologies in workshops, gatherings, and discussions that will answer:

  • Why EU|BICs and other BSOs should consider promoting and supporting social and inclusive entrepreneurship in their regional ecosystems?
  • What is needed for EU|BICs (organisation, services, ecosystem) to enable change and enter the future of innovation support?
  • How to enable practitioners and what frameworks, programmes and financial instruments are available for BSOs and EU|BICs?

Deep-dives

For each 2022 TechCamp theme, you can join a group of discussions to interact with other participants, share information and build new partnerships.

  • Inclusive incubation
  • Tech for good
  • Social value proposition
  • Impact investing, ESG
  • Sustainability and SDGs
  • Zebra (business) model

Unique venue

Building on the great success and impact of the recent on-site edition of EBN Congress, this year’s TechCamp will again be fully live, allowing for in-depth exchange, network building and immersive involvement. The event will be organised in Lipica, Slovenia and hosted by EU|BIC Sežana.

As in the past editions, the onsite event is expected to attract a selected group of skilled and dedicated participants from all over the EU|BIC community – and beyond. Lipica – the cradle of the white horses – is a village in the Municipality of Sežana in the Littoral region of Slovenia, close to the border with Italy.

Lipica is one of the main tourist centres of Slovenia’s Karst region and it is known for its stunning horse breeds from the Lipica Stud Farm, the origin of the Lipizzan horse.
